Typical alpha: 6.0 - 9.0%. A new US variety with a grapefruit-like aroma similar to Cascade, but with a higher alpha acid content. Typical alpha: 4.5-7.0%. One of the most popular hop varieties out there. Cascade is great for bittering, flavor and aroma. It is also used in popular beers like: Anchor Liberty Ale, Sierra-Nevada Pale Ale, and most other West Coast ales. New high alpha hop with low cohumulone rate, which is great for a nice clean bittering hop. Flavor is tangerine.

Magnums are an awesome bittering hop.  It provides a great clean bitterness to virtually any kind of beer.  If you don't like the harsh bitterness that some hops have, then try these. Zeus hops are a high alpha acid hop with a whopping 16% a.a.   Use these as a substitute for Columbus and in any kind of heavy hitting IPA or DIPA.  Can be used as a bittering or flavoring hop.
