In this video I rack from the primary fermenter into a secondary fermentor using the handy auto siphon; it just kicks ass!  I pull a small sample in a test jar and check the specific gravity of the wine.  And of course, I'm using Star San for my sanitizer.

Products used are below:

1/2 inch Auto Siphon
Star San
Test Jar
Hydrometer

Auto Siphon 1/2"

Hydrometer

Triple scale hydrometer measures Alcohol %, Brix and Original Gravity.
Star San 8 oz
Our Price: $10.00

Food-grade acid based sanitizer. 1 oz per 5 gallons. Has a foaming action that helps get into cracks. Once foam is diluted by wort it then becomes nutrient for yeast. Contact time is 30 seconds, which makes it the fastest sanitizer out there. Earth friendly, too.
10" Test Jar
Our Price: $4.25

Test Jar for floating hydrometers in and measuring both specific and final gravity readings.
